Pride Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support our client’s medical facility in Massachusetts and other locations. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining medical instruments and equipment used in surgeries and medical procedures. They ensure all instruments are properly decontaminated and function correctly by conducting detailed inspections. These technicians assemble, package, and prepare surgical instrument sets for sterilization, following strict infection control standards. They also monitor sterilization equipment and document all processes to maintain safety and compliance. A Sterile Processing Technician plays a key role in preventing infection by ensuring that sterile instruments are ready for use. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and proper functionality.
- Assemble and package surgical instrument sets according to sterilization protocols.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes using chemical, mechanical, and biological indicators.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and other sterilizing machinery.
- Prepare and load instruments for sterilization, ensuring proper organization and safety.
- Respond to emergency requirements for surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels of surgical instruments and medical supplies.
- Train and assist new staff members in sterilization processes and equipment use.
Qualifications:
- BLS certification required.
- Active Sterile Processing Technician Certification
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

- Shifts: 8 HOURS A DAY
- Weekly Pay: $33-$35 (Local pay) $30 (local pay)
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
